Why Obex
ō·bex / Latin noun / a barrier, an obstacle
In Christian theology, obex refers to the barrier that blocks grace from reaching you. We chose the name because that's exactly what addiction is: a wall between you and the life God designed you to live.
Obex exists to tear that wall down.
We built this because every other app felt optimized for revenue, not recovery. Especially for the people who need help the most: the ones who've tried everything and keep falling. The ones existing apps have given up on.
This isn't another streak counter with motivational quotes. It's a system built with real conviction, rooted in faith, designed for the hardest cases, and maintained like it matters. Because it does.
