Editorial standards

Obex publishes practical recovery guides, health explainers, and product comparisons. This page explains how we keep that work useful, honest, and current.

How we research

We start with the question a reader is actually trying to answer. For health claims, we prioritize primary research and systematic reviews, followed by government and established medical organizations. For products, platforms, books, and recovery fellowships, we verify factual claims against official documentation. Commercial treatment, coaching, affiliate, and generic SEO pages are not evidence for medical or statistical claims.

How we handle uncertainty

Recovery experiences vary, and many popular NoFap or semen-retention claims are based on anecdotes rather than strong clinical evidence. We separate reported experiences from established findings and avoid presenting an exact recovery timeline as a medical guarantee.

How we use writing tools

Software may assist with research, drafting, and editing, but a generated draft is never treated as publish-ready. We review factual support, search intent, Christian perspective, internal links, and voice. We remove canned openings, repeated rhetorical templates, vague attribution, and other language that could belong to any website.

Our Christian perspective

Obex is explicitly Christian. We do not hide biblical or pastoral judgments behind vague wellness language, and we do not invent medical or neuroscience claims to support a moral conviction. Where an article discusses both faith and clinical evidence, we distinguish them clearly.

Our product perspective

Obex publishes comparisons that may include Obex. We identify that relationship in the article and still describe competing products' strengths, limitations, and ideal users. Readers should verify current pricing and platform support before buying because those details can change.

Updates and corrections

Articles display their published and updated dates. We refresh pages when product facts change, better evidence becomes available, or a page is no longer answering the search intent clearly. If you find a factual error, send us the article URL and supporting source.
